Our need is for a BSC Store Manager to join our AbilityOne Base Supply Center at our Joint Base Andrews, MD location. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with a close-knit group, in a team based environment.Essential Position Functions:(Other Duties As Assigned)Supervise, train, and assist associates in customer service, store maintenance, and product promotions.Develop and maintain a schedule for associates and promotions centered on holiday sales and other cycles.Seek ways to better promote the store, the product line, and service within the store.Maintain proper inventory levels, ensure stocking, implement purchasing plans, and maintain contact with suppliers to ensure maximum efficiency in meeting sales goals.Implement cross-training of associates and retail supervisors to always maintain productivity.Manage all controllable costs with a view to maintaining profitability.Ensure the store always remains clean and presentable.Hire and train as needed to ensure adequate personnel is on hand to provide outstanding customer service.Develop in-store promotions to increase sales and/or introduce new products and services.Identifies opportunities for improvement in the store; designs and implements training, strategies, goals, and other resources to maximize productivity and morale.Maintain current client relationship and identifying areas for potential clients.Contacting potential clients to establish a business relationship and meet with them.Develop new sales areas and improve sales through various methods.Research the latest in the business industry and create new opportunities to expand business.Network with installation command, government agencies and organizations; Federal, State of Maryland, and local jurisdiction, business, and community leaders.Train junior associates to improve sales goals and meet expectationsStrong understanding of company products or services as well as business position and competition to keep business competitive. Qualifications:Must be able to pass a security clearance.Must be proficient in keyboards, computers, and inventory control systems.Must operate a Point-of-Sale System.Proficient in the use of Counterpoint, Point of Sale System...but not required.Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and multitask constantly shifting prioritiesMust be very organized, detailed and a team player...must be willing to adapt to changeExcellent oral and written communication skills.Possess technical skills, analytical ability, sound judgment, planning, and organizing expertise.May routinely lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds.Must have a valid Driver’s License with 0 points.Please see our website at  for more informationThis is a tremendous opportunity!
