Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN)The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) contains 345 beds and has been recognized with a 3-time Magnet designation. Our dedicated float pool consists of approximately 80 staff members.Patient Ratios: 1:5 for both day and night shifts, varying between units.Staffing: Day Shift: RNs and CNAs on most units. Night Shift: RNs and CNAs on most units. Equipment and Technology: Various types of equipment used; EMR system is Meditech.Minimum of 1-year current acute care PCU experience. Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale. Prior experience with Meditech EMR system. Chemo Certification is a plus, allowing for scheduling in oncology settings.The unit handles a large cardiac population, including two Telemetry floors and a Progressive Care Unit. Nurses may be required to float to various inpatient Med/Tele and Rehabilitation units as needed.Ideal candidates will demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to float between units. Team collaboration and compassion are essential attributes for success in this role.
