Electro-Mechanical Assembler

This role focuses on assembling electro-mechanical products by installing cables and harnesses, interpreting electrical drawings and schematics, and using a variety of hand and power tools. You will support a team-based manufacturing environment that emphasizes quality, safety, and continuous improvement while contributing to the efficient production of both large and small electronic units.

• Produce electro-mechanical products by performing cable and harness installation in accordance with electrical drawings and schematics.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and schematics to assemble components accurately and efficiently.
• Use hand tools, power tools, punches, crimpers, calipers, multimeters, and light soldering equipment to perform installations and assemblies.
• Assemble and wire both large and small electronic units, following job orders and detailed work instructions.
• Diagnose basic electrical issues through visual inspection, testing, and the use of measurement tools.
• Maintain manufacturing workflow by following established policies, procedures, and work instructions, and reporting any needed changes or improvements.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organizational safety standards and legal regulations, and promptly reporting unsafe conditions or practices.
• Support lean manufacturing practices by participating in continuous improvement activities and adhering to standardized work processes.
• Contribute to team efforts by being flexible with new and different work requirements, exploring opportunities to add value, and assisting colleagues to achieve shared production goals.
• Handle materials and components safely, including lifting up to 50 lbs on a continuous basis as required by production needs.
• Ensure the quality of assemblies by performing visual checks, basic tests, and verifying that work meets specifications and documentation requirements.
• Document work performed as needed, including completing job orders, checklists, or other production records accurately.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and schematics.
• Experience working with hand tools and power tools in an assembly or manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with cables and harnesses in electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Ability to diagnose electrical issues through inspection and basic testing.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and collaborate with others.
• Electro-mechanical assembly experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a continuous basis.
• Basic soldering skills for light soldering tasks.
• Familiarity with using multimeters, calipers, crimpers, and other assembly tools.

• Experience assembling large and small electronic units in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience following detailed job orders, work instructions, and production documentation.
• Exposure to lean manufacturing principles and practices.
• Strong reliability and attentiveness to detail in daily work.
• Comfort working in a structured environment with established procedures and standards.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience with mechanical assembly tasks.
• Ability to adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as production needs evolve.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lowell, MA.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
