Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

Overview Registered Nurse – ER travel assignment in Simi Valley, California. Start date 09/14/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay range $592-$638 per week. This 3x12 evening shift (36 hours per week) position is in a hospital emergency department. Guaranteed hours are not specified. Weekend coverage is required every 3rd weekend. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $592-$638 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12 evenings (36 hours per week) Start date: 09/14/2026 Location and schedule: Simi Valley, CA – ER travel assignment with every 3rd weekend Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in the ED, including patient assessment, triage, monitoring, documentation in the electronic record, and alignment with ED protocols. Administer medications and manage IV lines using the on-unit Pyxis system; document administration in Cerner/LaunchPoint EMR. Perform or assist with procedures as ordered, including central lines, procedural sedations, TEE, bronchoscopy, bubble studies, paracentesis, lumbar punctures, and blood patches. Utilize ultrasound guidance for IV access; coordinate with the ED PICC team and on-unit phlebotomy staff to obtain timely blood samples. Collaborate with unit secretary staff and a 24/7 hospitalist team to ensure patient flow, safety, and appropriate escalation when needed.
