Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg (Acute Care) position at a hospital in Albany, GA, requiring at least 1 year of experience and prior travel assignment experience.

Details

• Acute Care Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting with 44 beds
• Patient ratio of 1:5, occasionally 1:6
• CNA support available on the unit
• Telemetry monitoring is available but managed by a separate unit
• 12-hour day shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage on an as-needed basis
• Floating required to other acute care, cardiology (for medical patients), and EC for acute care patient holds
• MEDITECH EMR used; experience preferred but not required
• 22-week contract

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required (both must be AHA-issued)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• BSN not required
• Driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Orientation consists of approximately 1 week of general orientation (including EMR training) followed by 2 days of floor-specific orientation
• Caribbean Blue scrubs required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility (based on the address on their driver's license) to be eligible for this position
• Candidates who have been employed by the facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• RTO requests are honored only if submitted and confirmed prior to the start of the assignment
