Job Title: Esports Program AssistantPosition Type: AdministrationFTE: Full TimePay Rate: Grade 6Job Summary/Basic Functions:Reports to the Esports DirectorRecruit and Retain students for the Esports programsCreate and implement training programs and practice schedules to enhance team performanceFoster a team culture that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, player growth, and prioritizes academic successAnalyze gameplay to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvementStay up-to-date with game patches, meta changes, and strategies to adapt team gameplayCoordinate logistics, travel, and accommodations for team participation in competitions and recruitingProvide mentorship and support to student-athletes, both academically and personallyPromote the Esports program within the college and the broader communityCoordinate with other coaches, team captains, team managers and administration to ensure the success of the teams and programAssist in the development of the greater Esports program at Brazosport CollegeAssist and Coordinate the Esports Casting team100% On-Site PresencePhysical Demands:Able to traverse campus, lifting, carrying, handling, climbing, and balancing; ability to drive to off campus locations.Minimum Qualifications:Associate’s degree requiredA strong understanding of the competitive Esports scene, including popular esports titles and their metaExcellent communication and leadership skillsExperience with Esports Casting and/or productionsA passion for helping student-athletes succeed academically and athleticallyOrganizational skills to manage schedules, travel, and logisticsCoaching experience in competitive gaming is preferredCapacity to collaborate effectively with a diverse community of students, faculty, administrators, and professional colleaguesDrivers license and ability to drive a commercial vanAbility to coach 2 of the following titles in order of preference: Overwatch, Marvel Rivals, Mariokart, Pokemon Champions and Smash Bros Ultimate #J-18808-Ljbffr Brazosport-College
