Receptionist (part time, days/nights, some weekend days)

Reception Position

The Reception position has been ideal for qualified individuals seeking an interactive environment on a part-time basis. Successful candidates in this department include seasoned professionals looking for a reduced schedule and individuals seeking limited weekly hours. Scheduling is flexible, and the team of receptionists work together to cover the desk schedule, which is developed a month in advance. Schedule includes AM/PM shifts Tuesday - Sunday.

Essential Functions:

• Operates reception desk phone system
• Greets and welcomes all members and guests in a friendly and positive manner
• Assists in taking dining and event reservations
• Assists in open communication relaying operational information to members and guests
• Assists Membership and Catering & Events Departments with administrative duties
• Must be able to work some weekends and/or holidays

Work Performed:

• Greets and welcomes all members and guests and assists with any directions or questions regarding Club events and activities
• Operates reception desk phone system
• Answers and routes all phone calls efficiently, promptly, and courteously
• Takes telephone messages when necessary and delivers as soon as possible
• Initiates Emergency calls when requested
• Ensures that phones are never left unattended
• Assists all departments with phone problems and places service calls as needed
• Assists in taking reservations:
• Takes reservations for the Club dining rooms and events
• Records all reservation changes and notifies the manager/host as soon as possible
• Assists with open communication:
• Assists all departments with open communications through radios and email
• Assists all departments with maintaining contact with the manager on duty
• Creates and distributes daily activity email to all departments
• Perform all work-related duties assigned by Concierge Lead or Assistant General Manager
• Directs all deliveries to the appropriate receiving area
• Assists with coat check during winter event season
