Clinical Psychologist Manager, St. Louis Children's Hospital Psychology Department

Responsibilities Lead and develop a team of pediatric psychologists, pediatric neuropsychologists, and behavioral health clinicians, including hiring, coaching, and performance management. Oversee daily operations of pediatric psychology services across inpatient and outpatient settings. Partner with medical and hospital leadership to deliver integrated, patient‑centered care. Expand and enhance programs supporting patients with chronic illness, developmental conditions, and behavioral health needs. Drive quality and performance outcomes, including patient access, experience, and clinical effectiveness. Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and documentation standards. Champion a collaborative culture focused on compassion, inclusion, and continuous improvement. Develop and adhere to departmental staffing, revenue, and/or expense budgets. Manage personnel—hire, train, assign work, evaluate performance, and facilitate professional development plans—to meet departmental operational goals. Provide psychology clinical services to patients and their families. Manage department operations and integrate services within the work unit and with other departments. Act as a resource and liaison to hospital staff and outside community. Develop and coordinate psychology training program. Initiate independent and collaborative research initiatives and disseminate findings through publications and presentations.
