Locations & Sign‑On Bonus Sign on Bonus of $10,000. Multiple locations available: Lisle, Schaumburg, Bloomingdale, Glen Ellyn. Current primary location: Schaumburg. Hours Mostly 7:30am–4:00pm or 8:00am–4:30pm. 10:30am–7:00pm once a week and a weekend rotation of either Saturday or Sunday from 7:30am–3:00pm. Holidays and travel as needed. Responsibilities Utilize independent judgment and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of breast procedures, anatomy, and physiology under the supervision of the Manager and Breast Radiologist. Perform mammography procedures in a technically proficient manner following department protocols and radiologist direction. Corroborate patient’s clinical history with the procedure; ensuring information is documented in accordance with the department’s standards. Prepare patient for procedures, providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety. Select and operate breast imaging equipment and associated devices to achieve desired results. Position patient and equipment to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest. Explain the need for breast compression while respecting the patient’s ability and comfort. Apply principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others. Assist with or be trained for stereotactic biopsies. Participate in staff meetings with employee involvement. Maintain positive work relationships with co‑workers, physicians, and other health‑care team members. Maintain an orderly and clean work area to promote good safety habits for patients and co‑workers. Maintain confidentiality regarding patient and organizational information. Maintain supplies needed to ensure adequate levels within the department. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program. Mammography experience preferred but not required. Stereotactic biopsy experience a plus. Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with advanced certification in Mammography. Active ARRT certification status maintained by fulfilling continuing education requirements. Illinois State Licensure (IEMA). CPR Certification. Interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to present required. Knowledge of computer‑based applications, email, and standard applications such as Microsoft Office. Working knowledge and skills of a mammography technologist and ability to perform daily tasks and duties, including patient care and completion of clinical exams. Compensation The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $32.65–$52.00 per hour, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives.
