Senior Global Director Medical Affairs (GDMA) - Genitourinary Malignancies

Role Overview The Global Senior Director Medical Affairs (GDMA) is a subject‑matter expert responsible for driving the execution of the Global Medical and Scientific Affairs (GMSA) portion of the Global Value & Implementation (V&I) Plans for assigned Therapeutic Areas (TA). The GDMA brings business savvy, strategic decision‑making, and a focus on the U.S. while supporting the rest of the world, often serving as a V&I Lead for their disease/asset area. Responsibilities Drive execution of the annual V&I plan with medical affairs colleagues from key countries, prioritizing the U.S. Serve as the subject‑matter expert and connector across assigned therapeutic areas, translating global scientific platforms into actionable Medical Value Narratives (MVNs). Engage with country‑level stakeholders—including medical advisors, payers, and scientific leaders—to ensure strategic alignment and support local data generation, congress planning, and advisory boards. Act as the medical representative within Product Development sub‑teams (Clinical, V&I, Commercial, Publications, and Label), leveraging the GMSA vision to drive strategic planning and tactical execution. Communicate pertinent information to senior stakeholders (EDMA, RSL, RDMA, USDMA, PASL) to inform and influence country and regional planning. Collaborate closely with V&I Outcomes Research, Policy, Commercial, and Market Access teams to identify and address opportunities and barriers in key countries. Partner as a strategic consultant for Big Country Markets (U.S., China, Japan) and integrate local insights into global V&I plans. Organize global expert input events (advisory boards, expert forums) and symposia to answer company questions on new medicine or vaccine development. Support key countries with development of local data generation study concepts, protocols, and Investigator‑Initiated Studies. Manage programs (patient support, educational or risk management) to support appropriate and safe utilization of company medicines or vaccines. Champion ways of working, focusing on innovation, medical modernization, and impact to the patient. Manage assigned budget with financial stewardship, maintaining delivery within a 3% variance. Qualifications Minimum: M.D., Ph.D., or Pharm.D. (M.D. preferred) with at least 5 years of experience in country/region medical affairs or clinical development. Strong prioritization, decision‑making, collaboration, interpersonal, analytical, and project‑management skills. Excellent written and oral communication abilities. Preferred: At least 3 years of regional medical affairs experience, e.g., as Regional Director Medical Affairs, in GU cancers with a proven track record. Deep customer expertise, especially with scientific leadership and key stakeholders (payers, public groups, government officials, medical professional organizations) in the assigned therapeutic area. Salary & Benefits Salary range: $210,400.00 – $331,100.00. The successful candidate will also be eligible for annual bonus and long‑term incentive, if applicable.
