Managing Medical Director of Primary Care and Specialty Care- Dixon (Dixon)

Job Overview

OSF HealthCare seeks a Physician Leader to collaborate in a dyad leadership structure, responsible for monitoring and improving the level of care for patients. This role blends clinical expertise, leadership, and operations planning and requires a balanced schedule of 2.5 days administrative and 2.5 days clinical duties.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve patient care quality.
• Oversee participant care, clinical outcomes, and quality assessment, performance improvement, and performance management of ambulatory clinicians.
• Collaborate with Chief Medical Officer, quality leadership, and executive management to implement strategies that enhance patient care and improve medical practice.
• Serve in both clinical and leadership capacities.

Required Qualifications

• Physician licensed to practice medicine in the current state.
• Minimum of 5 years of post‑graduate licensed physician experience, including 3 years in clinical leadership.
• Licensed by the Federal Drug Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
• Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty(ies), and must obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges.
• Eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
• Must meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's professional malpractice and liability coverage programs.

• Base salary range $299,374–$405,036 (estimates).
