Intervention Specialist – Elementary (K‑6) Location: Lima, Ohio Position Overview: Perry Local Schools seeks a dedicated and student‑centered intervention specialist to support students with disabilities in grades K‑6. The role involves developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs), collaborating with families, monitoring student progress, and ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements. The specialist supports academic, behavioral, social, and emotional success of all students within the least restrictive environment. Key Responsibilities Provide direct specialized instruction to students with disabilities in individual, small‑group, and inclusive classroom settings. Differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs and learning styles. Support students in developing academic, social, behavioral, and functional skills. Utilize progress monitoring tools to assess student growth and adjust instruction accordingly. Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive educational practices. Qualifications Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license for the appropriate grade band. Strong knowledge of elementary instructional practices and child development.
