Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit during overnight shifts
• Perform and document neurological assessments utilizing NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
• Adhere to unit scheduling requirements, including every other weekend availability
• Participate in on-call rotation as needed, up to once per pay period (every two weeks)
• Maintain compliance with facility EMR and documentation standards

Required Qualifications

• Valid Kentucky RN license or active Compact RN license required
• NIHSS certification required
• AHA-issued certifications only accepted
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Influenza vaccination required; no flu exemptions accepted
• Candidates with open or pending background or license hits will not be considered
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Must be available to work 3 shifts per week; note that a Request Time Off (RTO) blackout period is in effect from October through December

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Flexibility with block scheduling arrangements
