A dynamic opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician specializing in inpatient care within a well-established healthcare facility in the Los Angeles area. This role begins with full-time hours for approximately one month, transitioning into a PRN position, ideally suited for a local candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform intravenous (IV) compounding with accuracy and attention to safety protocols.
• Manage medication filling and dispensing using Pyxis automated systems.
• Support pharmacy operations through effective order entry utilizing the Paragon/Allscripts system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure timely medication delivery and patient safety.
• Adapt to rotating shifts including 07:30-16:00 and 12:00-20:30, with weekend coverage from 08:00-16:30.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid California Pharmacy Technician license.
• Proven experience with IV compounding in a hospital or acute care setting.
• Proficiency in using Pyxis medication dispensing systems.
• Familiarity with order entry software, particularly Paragon and Allscripts.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts during weekdays and weekends.

Location:

• Norwalk, California (Los Angeles area).

Position Details:

• Contract role beginning ASAP.
• Full-time (40 hours per week) commitment for about four weeks.
• Transition to a PRN schedule after the initial period, with flexible shift options.
• Candidates with local residency preferred to accommodate variable scheduling needs.
