Industrial Journeyman Electrician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with our internal office staff and interact with clients and other contractors on site. This role is expected to independently perform electrical work in industrial environments. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated problem-solver who can work effectively, maintain positive working relationships with other crew members, and convey a high degree of professionalism when interacting with clients.

Responsibilities

• Read and redline drawings and schematics to execute project requirements.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment to diagnose issues.
• Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation equipment to support processes in their respective facilities.
• Bend rigid metallic conduit.
• Ensure all work complies with NEC standards and safety regulations.
• Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and parts used for compliance and future reference.
• Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment on construction sites or industrial facilities.

Experience

• Five years as an industrial electrician
• Extensive knowledge of NEC and industry standards
• Well-rounded experience, including data transmission, ethernet, Profi-net, Canbus, ECAT and other industrial controls and communications systems
• Experience with industrial automation systems including feeder and branch circuits, servo systems, PLC controllers, VFDs, 480VAC 3-phase, and 24VDC voltage power distribution and layout
• Knowledge of I/O systems is a plus

Skills, Abilities, and Other Requirements

• Pass a background check and drug test.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Active WA State Journeyman license; commercial administrator's license is a plus.
• Graduate of an apprenticeship in WA is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to climb a ladder, navigate tight spaces, and use hand tools.
• Basic computer skills.
• Work overtime when necessary to meet customer demands.
• Travel required.
