We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Instrumentation & Control Systems (I&CS) Design Engineer.As part of our Northwest team in Bellevue, you'll have the chance to work on projects that bring innovative solutions to our municipal clients' water challenges locally and worldwide. You'll get to work with our world-class Instrumentation and Control Systems team dedicated to protecting the most valuable asset in the world, water. You'll get to work on projects on every aspect from design through onsite startup work. You will enjoy having the deepest technical resources in the industry to support you, access to international work, and Design-Build projects. Using your experience, you'll lead the development of Process & Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs), control narratives, specifications, network drawings, panel drawings, and instrument selection. You'll coordinate with other engineering disciplines for a cohesive design. You'll also contribute to the development and growth of people (e.g. mentoring junior engineers) both domestically and globally. You'll be able to develop control system software in Programmable Logic Controllers and Human Machine Interfaces and perform facility startups and commissioning activities. As well, you will be able to review constructions submittals, conduct site evaluations, make recommendations for control system upgrades, and communicate with clients and management.Here's what you'll need:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited university or collegeActive Professional Engineer (P.E.) or ability to obtainMinimum of 8 years of experience:I&C Systems Integration design experienceProcess & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) developmentI/O list developmentInstrumentation selectionControl panel layout and wiringDetailed loop wiring diagramsPLC equipment list developmentAbility to mentor, train, and delegate work to others domestically and abroadAbility to work outside normal work hours at times to coordinate with global team membersProficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteIdeally, you'll also have:Water infrastructure Instrumentation & Controls Systems design experienceExperience with PLCs and HMI programming softwareExperience with MCC and VFD control requirementsOur health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
