This role operates with a high degree of autonomy. In addition, this role will be responsible for the development of new pricing and return models, analysis based on market trends and developments and database management.See Your Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and enhance pricing analytics utilizing SAS, Python, Excel and Tableau related to projected portfolio returns, risk concentration and CRT performance. Present findings to Senior Leadership Team on a regular basis to influence pricing decisions. Develop bespoke MI rate card pricing utilizing competitive intelligence, return thresholds, and desired portfolio composition to most efficiently deploy Radian's capital. Perform ad hoc analysis related to mortgage insurance pricing, CRT portfolio analysis and competitive analysis. Competitive Position Analytics: Perform analysis to adjust pricing as needed in order to maintain desired market share Collecting and maintaining MI pricing intelligence thru the development of databases. Assist in the research and implementation of market data and variables to enhance pricing and financial forecasts.Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.See the Job SpecificationsYour Basic Education and Prior Work-Related Experience:Degree Requirement: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent ExperienceWork Experience: 4 or more years of prior work related experienceAdditional Qualifications:Analytical experience within the mortgage banking, Reinsurance, or financial services industry strongly preferred.Advanced knowledge of Python, SAS, or SQL, Snowflake, and AWS or a similar programming languagePrior experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BIStrong understanding of pricing/valuation/ROC concepts and methods" Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple tasks under deadlinesAbility to perform analysis and provide conclusions and recommendationsExperience manipulating large data setsAttention to detail as demonstrated by effective time-management, good organizational skills and use of analytical thinking to solve problems.Strong aptitude for analytics; demonstrated ability to draw value-added insights from large amounts of financial dataExcellent oral and written communication skills and show a demonstrated ability to absorb information quickly.Strong critical thinkingTraining / experience with Microsoft Office products; very high-level of proficiency with Microsoft ExcelAbility to be a self-motivator and work independently, as well as work effectively with others.Intellectually curious- is willing to question traditional ways of doing things and develop new approaches to old challenges High level of interest in learning and utilizing advanced analytical and statistical methodsDemonstrated track record of success and increasing knowledge base See Why You Should Work With UsCompetitive Compensation: anticipated base salary from $80,000 to $120,000 based on skills and experience. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.
