Studies have demonstrated the clinical and lifestyle advantages of insulin pump therapy over multiple daily insulin injections (MDI). However, many people still choose MDI therapy largely due to the complexity, cost, and inconvenience of conventional pump technology. The Omnipod is a discreet and easy-to-use system that eliminates many of the issues associated with conventional pumps. Position Overview:

Reporting to the Product Manager, the Assoc. Product Manager will be responsible for developing new products and improving existing ones geared towards T1 and T2 consumers. Working in an Agile environment, in collaboration with a cross-functional team, this person will be responsible for defining and executing the Product roadmap and ensuring the backlog is properly defined, prioritized, and ready for execution with the Data Products team.

They will lead empowered, high-impact teams, through the digital development of the product, providing strong cross-functional leadership. They will develop and own business cases and work cross functionally to deliver digital products on-time and on-budget, to advance Insulet's mission to improve the lives of people with diabetes.

Responsibilities

• Participate in usability studies, feature design/define to explain/interpret the voice of the customer to the team.
• Support PM with business case development, including both cost and value.
• Support PM with defining features, documenting customer journeys through detailed process flows, and solution descriptions.
• Maintain the conceptual and technical integrity of the Features for the team.
• Obtain high-level work estimation (t-shirt size) for features from Agile team.
• Prioritize the feature backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities.
• Provide input into timelines/dates and investigate alternate paths forward on potential timing options.
• Drive tradeoff evaluations for feature implementation.
• Define Program Increment objectives.
• Ensure consistency of configuration and partner with leads and stakeholders to ensure design and development consistency across all work with the team.
• Facilitate software selection process to deliver the 'what'.
• Serve as 1st escalation point for all Delivery POs in the team. (Questions related to feature refinement, solution options, and/or in sprint tradeoffs.)

Required Skills and Competencies

• Experience with diabetes management and/or insulin pump development is a plus.

Education and Experience

• 2+ years experience in a Product Management position
• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant work experience in software products is a plus
• 3+ years of experience using Agile methodologies, related to Product Owner role.
• Knowledge of IT systems development strongly preferred
• Familiar with Software Development technologies.
• Experience in Medical Device development and/or other highly regulated products.
• Passion to continuously improve processes and practices.

Additional Information

• The position can be remote, hybrid or in-person at our Acton, MA headquarters. The preferred location is near Acton, MA.
• Travel is estimated at <25% but will flex depending on business needs. NOTE: This position is eligible for hybrid working arrangements and requires on-site work from an Insulet office. #LI-Hybrid

Compensation & Benefits: For U.S.-based positions only, the annual base salary range for this role is $115,700.00 - $173,600.00. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation.
