Medical Office Assistant

Location: Voorhees, NJ and Lumberton, NJ Compensation: $19-$24/hr Employment Type: Temp to Hire Our client is seeking a Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join their team. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity offering between $19-$24/hr with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:30AM to 4:00PM. The candidate for this role will be required to work at the Voorhees and Lumberton location. Responsibilities: Greet patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner (in person and over the phone) Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and direct messages to appropriate staff Verify patient demographics and insurance information; update records as needed Check patients in and out, ensuring all required forms and paperwork are completed Collect co-pays, payments, and assist with basic billing or insurance questions Maintain and organize patient records while ensuring confidentiality Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and staff Monitor and maintain reception area cleanliness and organization Assist with general office duties such as filing, scanning, and ordering supplies Requirements: Prior experience in a medical office or receptionist role preferred Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes is a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or electronic medical records (EMR) systems Strong multitasking and organizational skills Why Join J & J?
