Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities
- Load and unload raw materials safely using manual labor or overhead crane.
- Set up, adjust, and operate band saw to cut bar or tube. Read blueprints and work orders to determine cutting requirements.
- Adjust machine settings or program for repetitive cuts.
- Accurately complete production records and assist with raw material inventory.
- Inspect cut materials using tape measure/calipers to ensure they meet required dimensions, tolerances, and quality standards. Mark part number on workpieces.
- Perform daily and routine preventative maintenance. This includes cleaning, lubricating, and replacing dull or broken blades.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Notify supervisor of shortages or inventory discrepancies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required with average math skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Able to use hand and power tools proficiently.
- Must exhibit a high level of safety consciousness and a clear understanding of equipment safety.
- Must be dependable and report to work on time.
