Release Governance Support Consultant Location:St. Pete, FL (Hybrid) Engagement Type: Contract-to-Hire About the Role The Release Governance Support Consultant will support a Technology Solutions organization managing complex, mission-critical systems and infrastructure across multiple operating environments. This role is a key member of the Release Governance team, coordinating large-scale system deployments, upgrades, and production releases. Success requires strong organizational skills, executive-level communication, attention to detail, and the ability to drive accountability across a complex network of project teams, vendors, and business/technology stakeholders. The consultant acts as the central coordinator for release readiness activities, giving leadership clear visibility into progress, risks, dependencies, and go-live readiness. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and support release governance activities for major technology deployments and system upgrades Facilitate release readiness assessments, go/no-go reviews, and executive decision-making forums Develop and maintain release readiness dashboards, action logs, risk registers, and deployment trackers Coordinate development, review, and approval of Method of Procedure (MOP) documents and deployment plans Track and drive completion of release exit criteria across multiple teams and vendors Identify, communicate, and escalation risks, issues, and dependencies impacting release readiness Develop executive-ready PowerPoint presentations, status reports, and leadership communications Support deployment planning, cutover preparation, hypercare readiness, and post-release governance Facilitate stakeholder meetings; ensure action items are documented, assigned, and closed Provide coordination support during weekend/after-hours deployment events as needed Required Qualifications 5+ years supporting complex technology programs, releases, deployments, or consulting engagements Exceptional organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills Demonstrated ability to coordinate across large, cross-functional teams Strong executive presentation and PowerPoint development capabilities Comfortable facilitating meetings and presenting status to leadership Ability to independently drive follow-ups, hold teams accountable, and track commitments Experience managing risks, dependencies, action items, and governance processes Willingness to work onsite, travel as needed, and support occasional weekend deployment activities Preferred Qualifications Consulting background (Big 4 or comparable consulting firm) Experience in highly regulated, mission-critical, or complex operational environments Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Gravity IT Resources is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
