Senior System Administrator

I'm currently working with a well-established healthcare system that is looking to hire a Senior Systems Administrator to join their IT Infrastructure team. Candidate MUST be based in Georgia to be considered; US Citizen or Green Card status is also a key requirement. This is a hands‑on infrastructure role with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure , Azure networking (VNets, NSGs, VPNs) , Microsoft Intune , and Microsoft 365 . They're looking for someone with experience supporting hybrid Microsoft environments who enjoys working across cloud infrastructure, endpoint management, and core Windows technologies. Key Responsibilities Administer and support Microsoft Azure services, including Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, Virtual Networks (VNets), Network Security Groups (NSGs), VPN connectivity, Azure Backup, and Azure Monitor. Support and maintain Azure networking, ensuring secure connectivity between cloud and on‑premises environments. Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft Entra ID. Manage Microsoft Intune, including device enrolment, configuration profiles, compliance policies, application deployment, Windows Autopilot, and endpoint security. Support Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file services. Monitor system performance, availability, and security, proactively identifying and resolving issues. Assist with infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, and technology improvement projects. Maintain accurate technical documentation and operational procedures. Provide third‑line technical support for complex infrastructure issues. Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance where required. Support backup and disaster recovery solutions, including Veeam where applicable. Support VMware virtualisation and Cisco networking technologies as required. Participate in an on‑call rota and provide out‑of‑hours support when necessary. Strong knowledge of Azure networking, including Virtual Networks (VNets), NSGs, VPN connectivity, and Azure security best practices. Experience administering Microsoft 365 services. Strong experience managing devices using Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot. Experience administering Microsoft Entra ID, including Conditional Access and Multi‑Factor Authentication. Good knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP. Experience troubleshooting infrastructure, networking, and endpoint issues. PowerShell scripting skills for administration and automation. Excellent communication, organisational, and problem‑solving skills. VMware administration. Veeam Backup & Replication. Cisco networking technologies. Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Microsoft Defender for Cloud. Experience working within hybrid cloud environments. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent commercial experience. Microsoft certifications such as AZ‑104, AZ‑900, MD‑102, or MS‑102 are highly desirable, along with CompTIA Network+ or Security+.
