About the Role

Staffmax Staffing & Recruiting is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Support professional to assist our client’s finance team in   Washington, DC. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, analytical, and comfortable working with financial data and customer accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with generating and processing customer invoices
• Record and apply incoming payments accurately
• Support account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Monitor outstanding balances and assist with collections follow-ups
• Maintain and update customer account records
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing and payments
• Assist with month-end closing and reporting tasks
• Provide general administrative support to the AR team

Requirements

• Previous experience in accounts receivable or administrative/finance support preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude
