Peoplesoft Payroll And Benefits Consultant
Type: Contract W2 only
Location: Remote
Need consulting help for their upcoming project
Small group, troubleshooting, support to enhancements and new projects
This group only deals with Northern CA physicians
Two HR systems – one for normal employees (HCM) and one for physicians (PS)
Major role would be to work on business continuity – disaster recovery
PS app currently runs in-house. Plan on how to pay if that data center goes down. OCI if possible
Support 10,000 physicians
Bachelor's degree preferred
At least 7 years of experience with PeopleSoft, especially HR/benefits and basic payroll functional knowledge
Experience with Peoplesoft security, setting up role level security
Experience in working relationship with outsourced benefit vendors preferred (interfaces/integrations)
Excel and Word; PeopleSoft (administration, system table setup, query and reporting
Work closely with the Systems team to identify and implement automated solutions to improve processes and increase efficiency in the administration of benefits
Be able to interpret data and system functionality and apply critical thinking to help business and the department make informed decisions
Participate in special projects and act in the role of subject matter expert to represent the Benefits department to help identify issues relating or impacting benefits
Have effective planning and organizing to implement program changes
Lead and coordinate user testing efforts of system changes/enhancements including the creation of test plans and test scenarios for all aspects of the systems
Monitor user testing, raise issues, and work with appropriate parties to ensure testing is completed accurately, and results are documented properly for final sign-off to move change to production
Conduct analysis, analyze process flow and recommend streamlined approaches or solutions to implement new policies, procedures or new laws
Collaborate and partner with internal departments, vendors, and TPAs to identify viable solutions
Primary function for the hire will be to work on business continuity project - running of system on OCI in the event where the organization’s system is compromised and current system is not available
