The RT is also responsible for completion of all documentation, communication, maintenance of respiratory equipment, and continuing training of staff related to respiratory needs of residents, including those receiving ventilator support.Pay Rates & Available ShiftsThe pay starts at $35.00/hour, with an additional $2.00/hour shift differential and $2.00/hour weekend shift differential. Day or night shifts are available. Status includes full-time, part-time, or PRN.Essential Job DutiesProvide high quality respiratory therapy services for Heinzerling Community residents utilizing state-of-the-art patient monitoring equipmentManage acute and chronic respiratory care for residents in collaboration with the Medical Director and Nursing teamAssist in the development and maintenance of respiratory-related policies and proceduresProvide training for staff who are working with residents needing respiratory assistanceAssesses knowledge and skills of staff who provide direct respiratory servicesDevelop respiratory-related education for staff and families and train them annually and as needed to ensure competencyEvaluate, track, and maintain respiratory-related equipmentRequirementsValid Ohio license or permit for practicing Respiratory careChronic care and experience with ventilators preferredExperience with the Developmental Disabilities population and experience with individuals with highly complex continuous needs is preferred.
