Security OfficerCitadel Security USA is seeking a Multi-Shift Security Officer who can provide dependable coverage across assignments in the Glenwood Springs, Rifle, and Grand Junction areas.This position is suited for an officer who is comfortable working different shifts and reporting to various assigned locations. The officer may be scheduled to cover open posts, employee absences, vacation coverage, temporary staffing needs, or special assignments.Because assignments can vary, the ability to quickly understand new instructions, adjust to different work environments, and maintain consistent performance is important. The ideal candidate is dependable, observant, professional, and capable of working independently when assigned to a location without direct supervision.Primary ResponsibilitiesReport to designated locations on time and prepared for each scheduled assignment.Provide reliable coverage for open shifts, call-offs, vacations, temporary vacancies, and special staffing requests.Perform duties according to the specific requirements of each assigned location.Complete routine foot patrols, area checks, and other assigned security activities.Review and understand applicable post orders before beginning work at an unfamiliar location.Maintain an alert and visible presence throughout each shift.Transition between different assignments while maintaining company standards and professional conduct.Patrol, Observation & SafetyConduct scheduled patrols of designated interior and exterior areas when required.Observe surroundings for unusual activity, property damage, safety hazards, or other conditions requiring attention.Remain attentive to changes in activity throughout the assigned shift.Identify and promptly communicate suspicious or potentially unsafe conditions.Follow established access, patrol, safety, and security procedures.Take appropriate action within the scope of the assignment when concerns arise.Request supervisor or additional assistance when a situation exceeds assigned responsibilities.Reporting & CommunicationMaintain accurate activity logs and document required patrols or security checks.Prepare clear incident reports when unusual or significant events occur.Record relevant facts, observations, and actions taken during incidents.Submit required documentation within established deadlines.Communicate important information to supervisors and operations personnel.Provide accurate shift information during handoffs or changes in assignment.Protect confidential information encountered while performing assigned duties.Professional InteractionMaintain courteous and professional interactions with employees, clients, visitors, tenants, and members of the public.Respond to routine questions or requests for assistance within the scope of the assignment.Provide basic directions or information when appropriate.Use sound judgment and a calm communication style when concerns arise.Recognize when an issue should be referred to a supervisor or another authorized contact.Represent Citadel Security USA professionally at every assigned location.Work StandardsAdapt to different schedules, locations, post orders, and assignment requirements.Learn location-specific procedures and apply them consistently.Work effectively with limited supervision when assigned independently.Maintain dependable attendance and arrive ready to begin each scheduled shift.Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic.Follow company policies and assignment-specific instructions.Handle unexpected changes in staffing or scheduling professionally.Maintain appropriate confidentiality regarding information encountered while on duty.Required QualificationsAvailability to work various shifts based on operational coverage requirements.Reliable attendance and punctuality.Strong observation and situational-awareness abilities.Clear and professional verbal communication.Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.Comfortable working independently when assigned to different locations.Ability to adapt quickly to new procedures and work environments.Ability to successfully complete required background screening.Professional judgment and the ability to remain composed during unexpected situations.Preferred QualificationsPrevious security, patrol, or related experience.Customer service or other public-facing experience.Experience working independently with minimal direct supervision.Experience providing coverage across multiple locations.Familiarity with daily activity logs and incident reports.Strong attention to detail and follow-through.Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.Previous experience working variable schedules.Equal Opportunity Employer Citadel Security USA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
