Medical Assistant

Pride Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to support our client's medical facility in New York NY 10016. This is a 3+ month contract assignment (Possibility of conversion or extension) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Title: Medical Assistant
Location: New York NY 10016
Duration: 6 months
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM | Friday, 7:45 AM-4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $23/hr

Key Responsibilities:
Assist physicians and clinical staff with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
Perform vital signs, vision screenings, phlebotomy, and authorized laboratory procedures.
Prepare and process patient specimens, ensuring accurate labeling and appropriate orders in EPIC.
Prepare e-prescriptions as directed and according to established policies.
Clean, prepare, and process clinical instruments and equipment.
Escort patients, support efficient patient flow, and address patient needs promptly.
Maintain compliance with clinical standards, policies, safety procedures, and scope of practice.

Qualifications
2+ years of clinical experience in a medical office, clinic, or hospital setting.
2+ years of phlebotomy experience.
Current BLS certification required.

EPIC/EMR experience preferred.
