RN PreOp

USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Memorial Village is seeking a motivated RN PreOp to join our team. We have 8 OR rooms and 2 treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Colon Rectal, Neurological, GYN, Oculoplastic, Orthopedic, ENT, Pain Management, Podiatry, General, Plastic & Reconstructive, Urology, Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive preoperative assessments, including medical history, vital signs, and patient education. Review and verify patient documentation, consents, and lab results. Administer preoperative medications as ordered and monitor patient response. Provide education and emotional support to patients and families regarding the surgical process. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other clinical staff to ensure smooth transitions of care. Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards. Document all patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR). Assist in maintaining a safe, efficient, and supportive pre‑op environment. Qualifications Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in PreOP/PACU Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred Must have current BLS, ALS and PALS #J-18808-Ljbffr United Surgical Partners International Inc (USPI)
