Associate Dean of Students, Elementary School (2026-27)

Job Description School Year: 2026-27 Position: Associate Dean of Students Campus: United Elementary State St. or United Elementary 17th St. Grade(s): Kindergarten-5th Grade Reports to: Dean of Students United Schools is a nonprofit organization in Columbus, Ohio. It operates two high‑performing elementary schools (K-5) and two middle schools (6-8) serving more than 900 students. The schools aim to provide a rigorous academic experience in a joyful learning environment while closing the opportunity gap in the community. Position Description The Associate Dean of Students (ADOS) supports the Dean of Students in building a positive school culture, coaching staff, promoting positive behavior, planning celebrations and events, and addressing behavioral concerns with students, families, and staff. The ADOS maintains accurate behavioral records, implements improvement systems, mentors students in need, and collaborates with staff and families to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Qualifications Holds a B.A./B.S. degree (required) Has at least two years of successful teaching experience in an urban school (preferred) Committed to using data‑driven instructional practices and the techniques outlined in Teach Like a Champion 3.0 to improve student outcomes Relentless in writing, refining, and internalizing curriculum, lessons, and assessments Open and committed to implementing frequent feedback from team members Communicates effectively with students, families, and colleagues Comfortable with Google products for effective communication and completion of job responsibilities Terms of Employment Start Date: July 1, 2026 (applications are being considered immediately) Position Type: Full‑time Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.; some tasks may occur outside these hours Salary: Starting salary for a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree is \$49,000; salary for other applicants will depend on experience and education level Benefits Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage Eligibility to participate in the State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio (STRS) or the School Employees Retirement System of Ohio (SERS) All United campuses are Equal Opportunity Employers. #J-18808-Ljbffr TrulyHired
