Apply now and take the first step toward a rewarding career!Maintain and improve the existing Quality Management System coordinating activities focused on continuous improvement and ISO9001/ ISO-TS 16949 compliance. Design, document and implement ISO compliant systems on new processes according to business changes.Essential Job Duties:Maintain and improve the existing Quality Management SystemCoordinate the Corrective Action Request and Prevent Action SystemCoordinate the documentation systemCoordinate internal, external, LPA auditsCoordinate equipment calibration and complianceCoordinate Management Review processCoordinate monthly metrics review meetings with LKQ plants and managementCoordinate weekly warranty reduction meetings with Quality managerActively participate in ongoing continuous improvement projectsMinimum RequirementsEducation & ExperienceTwo-year certificate from College in Quality Assurance or completed related technical school; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience5+ years of experience.Automotive knowledge.Preferred RequirementsBachelor's Degree.Two years minimum in Quality Assurance in the automotive industry, knowledge in ISO 9001/TS 16949, AIAG Core tools,CAR closing acceptance/ rejection based on ISO-9001 international standard requirementsProcedure updates acceptance/ rejection based on ISO-9001 international standard requirementsKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) can be considered a plus in this position. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, and percentand to draw an interpret bar graphs. Ability to read, understand and convert from/to Standard/Metric measuring systems.Problem solving techniques, ISO 9000 or ISO/TS 16949 Internal Auditor, AIAG Core tools knowledge would be required. Additionally, Lean manufacturing principles would be considered a plus for this positionEssential Physical Demands/Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods of time.The employee may be exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment.
