Early Childhood Instructional Coach (Read to Succeed)

Job Summary
This new grant-funded position , made possible through United Way of Greater Nashville’s Read to Succeed initiative , is an exciting opportunity for an experienced early childhood educator to make a lasting impact on children, families, and teachers.
As the Early Childhood Instructional Coach , you will provide coaching, professional development, classroom support, and literacy-focused instruction to ensure educators have the tools and confidence to prepare children for kindergarten success. This position will split time between Equally Created’s Bellevue and South Nashville early learning centers , providing consistent coaching and support to educators at both locations.
Job Responsibilities
- Coach and mentor educators through classroom observations, modeling, and individualized feedback.
- Support implementation of the Read to Succeed curriculum and literacy initiatives.
- Monitor child progress through classroom observations and assessment tools.
- Plan and facilitate professional development and training for educators.
- Coordinate family literacy events, workshops, and parent engagement opportunities.
- Maintain the Read to Succeed Lending Library.
- Collaborate with Equally Created leadership and United Way to ensure program quality and successful implementation.
- Travel between the Bellevue and South Nashville locations throughout the work week to provide on-site coaching and support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field required (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of three years of experience in early childhood education.
- Experience coaching educators, implementing curriculum, and supporting classroom quality.
- Strong understanding of early childhood development, literacy instruction, and child assessments.
- Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
