What You Can Expect at Geary

• A consistent weekday schedule, working Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m., with weekends off.

Your Role

Working closely with our veterinarians and clinical team, you will:

• Provide compassionate patient care and support veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and medical procedures.
• Assess and monitor patients throughout anesthesia, providing attentive perioperative care and promptly communicating concerns.
• Place IV catheters, administer prescribed medications and injections, and perform technical procedures under veterinary direction.
• Prepare patients and equipment for surgery, assist during procedures, and support safe recovery.
• Perform dental cleanings, obtain dental radiographs, and complete accurate dental charting.
• Monitor hospitalized patients, recognize changes in condition, and communicate findings to the veterinary team.
• Perform radiography, laboratory testing, and other in-house diagnostics while maintaining accurate medical records.
• Help maintain an organized, efficient clinical environment that prioritizes patient safety

The Right Fit:

• An active California Registered Veterinary Technician license.
• Strong clinical skills in anesthesia monitoring, dentistry, patient nursing, and technical procedures.
• Sound clinical judgment, with the ability to recognize changes in patient condition and respond promptly.
