Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVICU Days position requiring cardiac critical care and open heart recovery experience.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular ICU of a hospital environment
• 8-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:3
• Patient population includes post-surgical management for cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, thoracotomies, TAVRs, and post-complex PCI interventions
• Involves post-open heart and post-cardiac procedure care, including central line, arterial line, and chest tube placements
• Uses Edwards and GE monitoring systems along with Swan-Ganz catheters
• Day shift schedule from 06:45 to 19:15
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• ACLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of critical care or cardiac critical care experience required
• Open heart recovery and post-cardiac procedure recovery experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to post-surgical cardiovascular patients
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on distance from the facility
• Must have a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required
