Speech Language Pathologist in Hartford, CT

Step into a rewarding position supporting K-12 students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the remainder of the school year. Situated near Hartford, CT, this full-time contract role is ready for immediate start and offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in students' daily school experience.


You'll provide dedicated speech-language services across 2-3 classrooms, each with a small group of 6-8 students. In a collaborative and close-knit educational environment, your expertise will provide direct support to students' communication growth, both in and out of the classroom. As the sole SLP on site (with no SLPAs), your skillset and professional judgment will guide service delivery and foster communication success for every student on your caseload.


Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Valid state licensure (or eligibility) in Speech-Language Pathology
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred
• Recent experience working with school-aged children across K-12 settings
• Strong understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and progress monitoring
• Confidence working independently within a supportive multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organization skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech-language therapy to students in accordance with IEP goals
• Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document student progress
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote optimal student outcomes
• Support classroom communication strategies and provide resources to staff
• Maintain compliance with school and district policies
