Senior PCB Designer

Bay Area,CA

Longterm Contract

Experience – 8 years & above

1.Design high-speed printed circuit boards (PCBs) for complex products and applications, including (but not limited to) the following:

a. High-speed serial interfaces (e.g., PCIe, PAM4, Ethernet, USB)

b. High-frequency RF designs (e.g., 5G, mmWave)

c. Low-noise analog circuits

d. High-current and high-voltage power supplies

2.Capture schematics based on block diagrams and hardware requirements.

3.Proficient with EDA tools - Cadence Allegro, OrCAD Capture, and Concept HDL.

4.Demonstrated knowledge of PCB design and manufacturing processes.

5.Strong understanding of signal integrity and power integrity requirements for high-speed and high-power designs.

6.Select appropriate via technologies and collaborate with manufacturing partners to define an optimized stackup that meets performance and cost targets.

7.Experienced in HDI PCB design

8.Possess strong knowledge of PCB materials and recommend suitable material selections based on electrical, thermal, and cost requirements.

9.Well experienced in routing high pin-count, fine-pitch BGA devices.

10.Perform DFM and DFA checks on manufacturing outputs prior to release to vendors, and coordinate with suppliers to resolve engineering queries (EQs).

11.Prepare bills of materials (BOMs) and provide clear assembly instructions to the PCB assembly partner.

12.Hands-on experience developing PCB libraries (schematic symbols and layout footprints).

13.Knowledge on Silicon validation boards is add-on.

14.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including experience working with offshore teams in a distributed design environment.

15.Demonstrate a proactive approach to resolving issues and meeting customer expectations.
