Lead Attorney

Position Type: Full Time Locations: Location: Midtown Manhattan, NY Base Salary: Starting at $125,000/yr About the job: DAVIDOFF LAW, P.C. is a respected and expanding Plaintiff’s personal injury firm with offices in both Queens and Manhattan. We are looking for a highly organized, motivated, and ambitious Lead Attorney to work out of our MANHATTAN office. ADMISSION TO THE NYS BAR AND AT LEAST TWO YEARS OF LEGAL EXPERIENCE IN PERSONAL INJURY IS REQUIRED. Duties and Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will have excellent legal writing and research skills, quickly learn our firm’s practice areas and confidently handle the following responsibilities: Efficiently manage your team’s caseload, including delegation and oversight of tasks for support staff assigned to your team; Oversee assigned caseload from inception through trial, including discovery, depositions, 50H Hearings and/or EUOs, arbitrations, mediations and trial; Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery demands, and responses; Prepare for and attend virtual and in-person court appearances; Enter into settlement negotiations with opposing counsel; Interact with clients and medical professionals; Review and evaluate medical records and causation; This role presents an excellent opportunity to gain litigation experience both in and out of the courtroom. We look forward to expanding our team. Requirements include: Admission to the state bar association. Leadership, organization and communication skills to manage the caseload and team assigned to you; Ability to manage caseload and team tasks via the firm’s cloud-based legal case management system; Strong writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents. Proficiency in conducting legal research using resources such as Lexis-Nexis; Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and other parties. Experience with legal drafting and litigation procedures. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously. Attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. This firm offers commissions with a base salary included.
