TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74127!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MedSurg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: - Minimum of 2 years MedSurg experience required in a hospital setting. - No travel experience accepted if over 4 years. - Direct MedSurg experience required in the past year. License: - Valid nursing license required. Certifications: - BLS (Basic Life Support) required. - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required. - NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) preferred. Must-Have: - Cardiac self-rating of 3 or above. - Basic dysrhythmia training preferred with a self-rating of 3 or above. - Experience in handling a diverse patient population, including patients with mental health diagnoses. Description: The position requires the ability to work 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each. Ratios will typically be 1:5 with potential for 1:6-7. Weekend shifts are required with a total of 6 shifts every 6 weeks. All unit staff may be expected to care for patients with mental health diagnoses. The unit will care for patients with conditions such as altered mental status, congestive heart failure, stroke, orthopedic issues, surgical patients, diabetic ketoacidosis, and infections. Charting will be done using Epic, which is a necessary requirement. Candidate must be comfortable with high nurse-to-patient ratios. The attendance policy is strict, with a zero-fault policy for missed shifts. Missed shifts may result in warnings or cancellation, and this applies on a rolling calendar year. Compliance requires commitment to lab visits within 48-72 hours of acceptance. No additional time off requests will be approved after submission. Candidates must not have worked in this capacity previously. All assigned modules must be completed prior to the start of the position.
