Senior Associate, Employee Relations

As a Sr. Associate, Employee Relations, you will play a crucial role in fostering positive relationships between employees and the workplace. This includes being responsible for understanding employee issues, promoting a healthy work environment, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. In collaboration with HR, Legal, and Labor Relations partners, you will drive change and champion fair, consistent, timely, and thorough investigations, promoting the highest level of respect while delivering on investigation protocols with accurate documentation. You will navigate sensitive concerns and accommodation requests by providing insightful recommendations and advocating for a positive employee experience through the lens of equitable and consistent policies. Through proactive coaching, education, and onsite presence, you will help prevent issues and nurture a culture where employees can perform at their best.

You will:

• Address employee concerns and complaints in a timely and confidential manner;
• Conduct investigations into employee grievances, conflicts, and possible disciplinary issues;
• Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices;
• Assist in the development and implementation of employee relations programs and initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention;
• Lead regularly-scheduled meetings with People stakeholders to provide updates and guidance on selected topics and address questions on relevant topics;
• Engage in the interactive process to determine eligibility of employee accommodations through review of documentation, consultation with department managers, employees, Legal, and other stakeholders to determine whether requests fall under our accommodations policies and how we consistently enable employees to perform the essential functions of their jobs;
• Stay up-to-date on employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate risks;
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to employee relations matters under the direction of Legal Counsel; 
• Support HR projects and initiatives as needed.

• An excellent communicator and writer, able to present information in a clear and concise manner to ensure others understand ideas;
• Objective, approachable, and able to interact effectively with all levels of employees both in person and virtually in a positive and respectful manner;
• Bring a high level of discretion due to the sensitive nature of activities within the HR organization and are able to maintain the highest level of personal integrity and confidentiality;
• Adaptable and flexible, you are motivated to drive results in new and changing environments;
• A creative problem solver who leverages data and other insights to find solutions 
• A people advocate + culture curator: your passion for solving people problems and dedication to delivering a positive employee experience make you an awesome ambassador for our culture & team;

You have:

• Bachelor’s Degree, Paralegal Degree or Certification, or 3+ years of relevant and/or legal experience;
• Understanding of employment law implications on ADA and/or HR compliance issues;
• Experience with synthesizing healthcare-related laws into digestible information ensuing the highest levels of integrity and discretion;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills;
• Experience handling multiple and complex projects simultaneously, and working in an environment that requires flexibility, innovation, superb customer service skills, and organization;
• Track record of strong collaboration skills, and highly trusted.
