Pharmacist Position Available

An opportunity is available for a pharmacist experienced in high-volume pharmacy settings, specializing in mail order and renal specialty services. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, processing approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily, and supporting patient care through precise medication verification.

Location: Nashville, TN

Job Type: Contract (13+ weeks, potential contract-to-hire)

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM (40 hours per week)

Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) duties
• Conduct final verification of prescriptions ensuring accurate medication, dosage, directions, and labeling
• Verify prescription information thoroughly against hard copy orders
• Use the Wellsky pharmacy order entry system for processing tasks
• Maintain accuracy and compliance in a high-volume mail order renal specialty pharmacy environment
• Collaborate with pharmacy team members while upholding safety and quality standards
• No on-call responsibilities required

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a high-volume pharmacy setting
• Familiarity with prescription verification processes and pharmacy order entry systems (Wellsky experience preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Positive attitude and ability to work efficiently during evening hours
• Comfortable in a temp-only role with flexibility for contract duration
