Position Summary

BHMG is seeking an experienced and clinically strong Lead Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality patient care while supporting provider leadership, clinical excellence, and operational efficiency across assigned practice locations. The Lead NP serves as a clinical resource for advanced practice providers, promotes evidence-based care, and collaborates with physicians, nursing staff, and administrative teams to ensure outstanding patient outcomes.

Essential ResponsibilitiesClinical Leadership

• Provide comprehensive patient assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
• Serve as a clinical mentor and resource for Nurse Practitioners and other clinical staff.
• Promote evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support implementation of clinical protocols and best practices.

Operational Oversight

• Assist with provider onboarding and training.
• Help monitor productivity, scheduling, and workflow efficiency.
• Collaborate with leadership to address operational challenges and improve patient access.
• Participate in clinical meetings and organizational initiatives.

Quality and Compliance

• Ensure adherence to organizational policies, state regulations, and professional standards.
• Support credentialing, clinical documentation, and chart review activities.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement programs.
• Promote patient safety and patient-centered care.

Patient Care

• Manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Conduct preventive care visits and health screenings.
• Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic testing results.
• Coordinate care with specialists, facilities, and community resources.

QualificationsRequired

• Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active Massachusetts Nurse Practitioner license.
• National Nurse Practitioner certification.
• DEA registration (or ability to obtain).
• Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical practice experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Preferred

• Prior supervisory, preceptor, or leadership experience.
• Experience in primary care, post-acute care, or value-based care settings.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems and clinical quality initiatives.
