Inpatient Cardiology Carle Foundation Hospital

New locum opening for an experienced Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois.

Start: ASAP pending credentialing
Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 3:30 PM + one weekend of in-house rounding per month
Setting: Inpatient Cardiology
Facility: 509-bed Level I Trauma Center
EMR: Epic

• Inpatient cardiology rounding
• Approximately patients per day
• Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
• One weekend per month of in-house rounding
• Department includes approximately 10 physicians/APPs
• Patient population includes adolescent, adult and geriatric patients
• RN support available for discharge communication
• Rate TBD/Negotiable we submit at your rate
• Daily rate for scheduled weekday shifts
• OT/callback rate for patient care after scheduled shift
• Weekend hourly rate
• After-hours charting is not separately billable
• Occurrence-based malpractice coverage provided
• Transportation and housing provided/paid for by client

• Board Certified NP or PA
• Recent Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Active Illinois license required at time of presentation
• ACLS required
• BLS required
• Availability for requested schedule
• Local candidates highly preferred
• Clean and easy-to-credential background highly preferred

• Two completed professional references required at presentation
• References should be from recent professional colleagues and/or medical directors who can attest to current clinical skills, experience and professional conduct
• Candidate must complete required name-clear process before presentation
• Complete CV and required presentation documentation must be submitted
• Candidates with significant malpractice history, high payouts or actively pending cases may be difficult to privilege
• Health Attestation Form required at least one week prior to first day
• Physical must be completed within 90 days of start date
• Failure to complete required health documentation may delay or cancel scheduled dates

Transportation and housing provided/paid for by client within pre-approved travel parameters.

• Driving-distance candidates: round-trip mileage and lodging
• Airfare may be considered for candidates outside reasonable driving distance and must be approved in advance
• Nearby airports include Willard Airport in Champaign, Bloomington, Chicago and Indianapolis
