Assignment Details

• Start Date: October 5, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Thursday–Saturday nights
• Shift: 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Department: Sleep Disorder Lab
• Patient Population: Adolescent, adult and geriatric
• Local Radius: Travelers must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Responsibilities

• Review assigned patient charts and complete pre-test assessments and required documentation
• Prepare patients and equipment for sleep-disorder testing
• Apply recording sensors and perform pre-recording calibrations
• Acclimate patients to CPAP therapy when applicable
• Monitor polysomnograms throughout the night and document findings, interventions and respiratory events according to protocol
• Complete post-study documentation, remove sensors and clean equipment
• Score polysomnograms as needed and prepare reports for interpretation
• Recognize sleep activity, abnormalities, movement arousals and respiratory events

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent polysomnography or sleep-study experience
• Current, unrestricted Registered Polysomnographic Technologist certification through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (RPSGT/BRPT)
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Strong knowledge of sleep disorders, sleep-study procedures, CPAP therapy and polysomnographic monitoring

 

Holiday Requirement The traveler may be required to work two of the three major holidays—Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day—plus one minor holiday. Why Work With Spire?
