Front of House Manager

Job Description

The Front of House Manager is responsible for managing the front-of-house operations, which include the restaurant or venue’s lobby, dining areas, and any other customer service areas. This position requires strong leadership, impeccable customer service skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

Manage the reception team, wait staff, and other front of house employees
Ensure all front of house areas meet health and safety regulations
Oversee guest reservations, greeting, seating, and overall dining experience
Resolve customer complaints in a professional and efficient manner
Provide training and support to front of house staff to maintain excellent customer service
Coordinate with the back of house manager to ensure efficient service and communication
Manage inventory of supplies and order as needed
Monitor daily bookings and ensure timely seating and service
Arrange maintenance of front of house equipment and facilities
Implement promotional activities to improve customer numbers and satisfaction
Prepare reports on customer satisfaction and feedback for upper management
Front of house scheduling

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of experience in customer service
High school diploma or equivalent
Proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) systems
Strong communication skills
Ability to multitask effectively
Teamwork-oriented mindset
Excellent problem-solving abilities
Effective time management
