Role Overview
We are seeking an SDET / QA Automation Engineer to join the engineering team on-site in Fremont, CA. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks across both UI and API layers. The ideal candidate has strong programming foundations in Python, solid backend SQL validation experience, and the ability to solve practical coding challenges under standard evaluation environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust test automation frameworks for UI and API validation.
- Write clean, efficient Python automation scripts and test cases to validate complex enterprise workflows.
- Perform in-depth API testing against backend microservices and verify relational database states using SQL.
- Identify, isolate, report, and track bugs through resolution, collaborating directly with software developers and product teams.
- Successfully complete required technical evaluations, including a hands-on Codility assessment and identity verification processes.
Required Qualifications
- Programming: Solid, hands-on programming experience using Python as the primary scripting/automation language.
- Automation Engineering: Proven track record building end-to-end test suites for both UI (e.g., Selenium, Playwright) and API/REST interfaces (e.g., PyTest, Requests, Postman).
- Database Testing: Strong hands-on proficiency writing SQL queries to validate backend data integrity.
