Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–6:00 PM  or 11:00 AM–7:00 PM
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $19.00/hour

About the Opportunity

We are currently hiring a  Customer Support Representative I to join our customer service team in Avon, CT. In this role, you will provide compassionate, professional support to Medicare participants, primarily individuals age 65 and older.

The ideal candidate is an experienced customer service professional who communicates clearly, pays close attention to detail, and can handle sensitive healthcare-related questions with patience, empathy, and professionalism.

What You'll Do

• Serve as a primary point of contact for Medicare members, healthcare providers, pharmacies, and other insurance carriers.
• Assist customers with claim and prescription-related questions and issues by phone and email.
• Explain benefits, coverage, and related information in a clear and easy-to-understand manner.
• Handle member inquiries with patience, empathy, and professionalism.
• Accurately document all member interactions and maintain timely records.
• Work with internal teams to research and resolve more complex issues.
• Follow up with members and other parties to ensure issues are fully resolved.
• Maintain compliance with applicable industry regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Complete all required training and maintain knowledge of relevant processes and guidelines.

What We're Looking For

• Previous customer service experience; healthcare or insurance experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicare Part D, and general insurance terminology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with  Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel .
• Comfortable working with internal databases and web-based platforms.
• Demonstrated patience, empathy, professionalism, and a customer-focused approach.
