Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join a hospital in Jacksonville, FL as a traveling Physical Therapist where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing life in a new location. You will evaluate assigned patients, develop and implement treatment plans, delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services, and educate patients, families, students and coworkers. You will complete clear, timely documentation and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address barriers to discharge. You will adhere to professional standards, state practice acts and hospital policies while contributing to quality improvement and safety initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active Florida Physical Therapist license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Experience completing comprehensive evaluations, developing treatment plans, and documenting in accordance with state, federal and facility guidelines.
• Experience working in an acute care or hospital environment preferred.
• Maintain professional licensure and complete state-mandated continuing education.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior travel therapy experience preferred.
• Experience with safe patient handling and materials handling protocols preferred.
• Experience supervising students and providing clinical education preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift pattern: 5x8.
