Our client, EOC, Inc., is seeking a full-time Career Pathway Navigator to join their Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) Program team.

This position provides career and educational guidance to adults participating in our Educational Opportunity Center Program. The CPN serves as a systems navigator, helping participants identify their strengths, explore career options, access education and training, earn industry-recognized credentials, and connect with meaningful employment opportunities.

The position utilizes EOC's Workforce-First model, connecting participants to career pathways, High Priority Occupations, postsecondary education, workforce training, Registered Apprenticeships, and other opportunities that support economic mobility and family-sustaining employment. This position will primarily cover Columbia, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, and Schuylkill Counties.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain an active participant caseload and recruit, engage, and support eligible participants in achieving program goals.
• Provide individualized career coaching, educational guidance, and strengths-based support.
• Administer and interpret CliftonStrengths, interest assessments, and other career exploration tools.
• Utilize Labor Market Information (LMI), WIOA resources, and career exploration tools to help participants make informed career decisions.
• Help participants explore high-growth industries, High Priority Occupations, workforce training, industry credentials, and Registered Apprenticeships.
• Assist with applications to colleges, universities, trade schools, workforce training programs, and apprenticeship opportunities.
• Provide guidance and assistance with financial aid applications and educational funding resources.
• Identify participant barriers and connect individuals with appropriate academic, workforce, community, and supportive services.
• Maintain accurate participant records, case notes, follow-up documentation, and program data.
• Conduct workshops and group programming related to career exploration, education, workforce opportunities, and financial aid.
• Participate in community outreach, career fairs, CareerLink activities, and other events throughout the assigned service area.
• Build relationships with community partners, referral sources, educational institutions, and workforce organizations.
• Participate in staff meetings, required training, professional development, and other program activities.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in education, counseling, business, workforce development, or a related field. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable personal vehicle and appropriate automobile insurance.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check and Pennsylvania MVR check.

Preferred:

• Two or more years of experience working with adults and/or young adults.
• Experience in career counseling, educational advising, workforce development, case management, coaching, or participant services.
• Experience working with diverse and/or low-income populations.
• Knowledge of workforce development, postsecondary education, career pathways, financial aid, and/or WIOA resources.
• Bilingual Spanish skills.

Skills & Abilities

The ideal candidate will have strong coaching, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills , with the ability to manage a caseload, meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality, build community relationships, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google applications, electronic databases, and other technology is expected.

Work Environment

This position works primarily in an office setting but requires travel throughout the assigned service area for participant appointments, outreach, workshops, career fairs, and community events. Virtual services may also be provided. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on program needs.
