As an Avionics Design Engineer, you will support the development of Avionics Packages for multiple target Reentry Vehicles and Electrical Support Equipment.Key activities you will accomplish in this role:Work on a cross-functional team in the development and integration of world class avionics systems.Develop and review electrical system architecture for flight vehicles.Provide leadership and oversight of flight system electrical/electronics designs.Perform and lead avionics component selection and support trade studies.Perform and lead reviews and analyses for existing and new designs.Provide support to system level testing, troubleshoot and resolve test anomaliesTo be effective in this role, you will need:Experience with selection of electronics/avionics componentsSignificant experience in hardware troubleshootingBS or higher or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or related field8+ years professional experience.Must have an active DoD Secret clearance, thus you are a US Citizen.The information below reflects the standard job description for this position:​Researches, designs, develops, and tests a variety of electronic equipment and systems, telemetry system components; circuitry components; analog and digital computers; and control and test equipment. Specific roles include but are not limited to leading development of system interconnection and schematic diagrams, detailed cable and harness design, and coordination with procurement, production and test and other functional organizations in support of avionics system development and implementation.Basic QualificationsBS or higher in Electrical Engineering or related fieldExperience in electronics/avionics system design for tactical or flight applicationsExperience with selection of electronics/avionics components (trade studies, etc.)Significant experience in methodical hardware troubleshooting with focus on determining root cause and corrective actionExperience working with avionics suppliers on design and troubleshootingAbility to prepare and present technical review and troubleshooting data to program leadership and customerDesired SkillsExperience in technical product development from concept to implementation, both independently and leading a technical teamExperience providing electrical/electronic support for production and test activitiesLockheed Martin Material Review Board certification highly desiredLockheed Martin Certified Principal Engineer experience and current training highly desiredExperience with hardware qualification for flight environmentsExperience developing and managing cost and schedule planning (Control Account Management)Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
