Project Manager

Lead commercial construction projects that bring everyday spaces to life. An established commercial general contractor is seeking a Construction Project Manager in Concord, California. This opportunity is ideal for someone who brings strong ownership, clear communication, and a practical approach to delivering projects on schedule and within budget. The company’s work spans grocery, retail, office, and industrial facilities. You’ll collaborate with clients, field teams, subcontractors and design professionals to move projects from planning through successful closeout. What You’ll Do Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and deliverables from preconstruction through closeout. Coordinate with superintendents and subcontractors to keep field activities aligned with project milestones. Support estimating, bid review, subcontractor selection, procurement, and value engineering. Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, project documentation, and cost reporting. Lead project meetings and communicate progress, risks, and solutions to clients and project stakeholders. Anticipate scheduling conflicts, material delays, and construction challenges, and drive timely resolutions. Partner with field leadership to support safety, quality, and compliance with project requirements. Oversee punch lists, turnover documentation, and final project completion. What You Bring Experience managing commercial construction projects for a general contractor. Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, budgeting, and subcontractor coordination. Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Experience managing project financials, change orders, and schedules. Clear communication, sound judgment, and the ability to manage competing priorities. Comfort using construction project management and scheduling software.
