Job Description

The team lead creates exceptional value in the lives of clients and patients by offering outstanding customer service. Ensures that clients and patients are always delighted. Contributes to the success of the store by managing key optical and laboratory processes (where applicable) and systems to achieve exceptional results.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• While working in retail, ensure that the LensCrafters team provides unparalleled customer service.
• Proactive and solution-oriented, precise execution, and product knowledge.
• Assist customers in their selections, provide recommendations, assist salespeople.
• Act as a deputy store keyholder and manager. While working in the lab, if applicable:
• Customize glasses and accurately place prescriptions in lenses.
• Work with associates to strengthen their knowledge, skills, and certification for fundamental processes related to lens technology and store operations.
• Ensure that finished glasses meet optical standards and customer requirements.
• Create a safe working environment for all, demonstrating safe working practices.
• Responsible for the basic operation, cleaning, and ongoing maintenance of lab tools and systems.

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED
• Strong experience in the optical and retail field
• Knowledge of current optical theory and products
• Strong communicator and listener
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Solid basic math skills
• Sales skills
• Problem-solving ability
• Familiarity with cash registers, computers, and calculators
• Leadership and training experience
• Experience in framing and fitting
• Basic optical knowledge and experience in optical measurement

Preferred Qualifications

• State license (where applicable) and/or ABO certification in states without a license
• LensCrafters final lens inspector program certification
• Experience with optical machines/instruments
• AccuFit digital measurement system certification
• Knowledge of current store products and lens options
